This year's theme, PAST FORWARD, is an ode to that journey. To the lessons of the past, the power of the now, and the courage to keep dreaming - especially in uncertain times. Because he who knows where he came from, stands more firmly in what is to come. And those who choose a culture of trust, pride and camaraderie are building not only a better organization - but also a better future.

We ask you to take a moment to reflect on the journey you have taken as an organization. From what belief or necessity was your organization once created? What choices and rituals have shaped the culture? What are the values you're still proud of - and what deserves to be re-examined?

By looking back with fresh eyes, you give direction to the future. This is exactly what makes an organization a Best Workplace: a place where not only work is done, but where history is made.

About The Happening

During Best Workplaces 2025 - The Happening, we will pay tribute to the timeless value of being a good employer. It will be an evening where successes are celebrated and stories are shared. We will announce the official ranking of Best Workplaces 2025, present the awards, and put you in the spotlight. Because you show that better for people, really is better for business.

The setting for The Happening is no coincidence: DeFabrique is a place where the past is palpably present. Once a location of production, now a place where people come together and stories are shared.

Your host for the evening: Eva Brouwer

Host, speaker and historian Eva Brouwer is an expert in speaking with impact. Colorful, energetic and with humor, she helps companies and teams to bring their message in such a way that it really comes through.

Whether it is about leadership, change or visibility, Eva teaches you how to convince and inspire. 'Not everyone is waiting for you, but some are jumping for you!'

Eva opens the award ceremony with an inspiring talk on the theme of PAST FORWARD. Why is history a cool subject for so many people? Because there are stories in it - and there are in your organization too! Eva shows that being a good employer is not a trophy you put on the shelf. It's a timeline: something you continually develop. Built on everything you built in the past, what you do today, and the choices you make for the future. It is a story that continues to grow. And that story you get to celebrate - not as an endpoint, but as a milestone on a longer journey. As an expert in storytelling and transformation, she knows better than anyone how the power of the past can strengthen your view of the future. Because only when you know where you came from, do you know where you want to go.

Eva has written a bestseller on Managementboek.nl and is the driving force behind The Impact Accelerator, a seminar where professionals learn how to powerfully communicate their message. According to the director of Speakers Academy, she is even "half a comedian," which makes her presentations unique: content combined with humor and flair.

She was nicknamed "Eve of Construction" by colleagues for her ability to get people moving. With her background as a historian, journalist and television presenter, Eve knows better than anyone how to translate complex stories to a wide audience. She combines content with entertainment, humor with impact, and always with flair.

What does it mean to be a Best Workplace?

Organizations that put their people first deserve a stage. That's why we recognize good employers through certification and the Best Workplaces.

Only certified organizations stand a chance of winning the title Best Workplace. For organizations in the Large category (500+ employees), the Culture Audit also counts.

The 50 highest scoring organizations make up the Best Workplaces. The ranking is determined according to the Great Place To Work For All formula.

The top 50 consist of 4 categories:

  • Small (20 to 49 employees): top 15

  • Medium (50 to 249 employees): top 15

  • Mid Large (250 to 499 employees): top 10

  • Large (500+ employees): top 10

Car

If you come by car, park in one of the 700 free parking spaces. Professional parking attendants will welcome and assign you a spot, so parking goes smoothly and you can start your day carefree.

Do you have an electric car? Then it is possible to charge it via one of the 14 charging stations in our parking lot.

Public transportation

Trains from Amsterdam and Utrecht stop at Maarssen station . At the station, take the Kanaalzijde exit, and you'll reach DeFabrique in a 15-minute walk. Public transport bicycles are also available at Maarssen station.

Shuttle bus

From Maarssen station, shuttle buses will take you to DeFabrique. After the event, you can also take the shuttle bus back to Maarssen station.

What language will be spoken at this event?

Dutch will be spoken at this event.

What if I can't make it?

First of all: what a shame! If you still cannot attend, the following policy applies:

  • Until date May 14, 2025, you can cancel by email at no charge. You will receive a refund of the ticket price.

  • After date May 14, 2025 you will not receive a refund of the ticket price, regardless of regardless of the reason for cancellation (including illness and private circumstances). In this case, you can of course have another colleague come in your place.

Why is this a paid event?

Being a Best Workplace is not just an accomplishment. We feel it is important to celebrate this recognition with a special event, and the ticket price helps us organize the event. It also prevents no-shows, as experience shows that events without a ticket price result in high no-shows.

Of course, the event is not mandatory. If you think just the spot on the list is enough, we understand that too. But of course we hope to have you there, because it is a great opportunity to put your achievement in the spotlight and to get in touch with other Best Workplaces.

Why are there 50 Best Workplaces this year?

Until now, the Best Workplaces list has consisted of 40 organizations each year. This year we have chosen to expand the list to a top 50.

The main reason is that the number of participating organizations increases each year, especially in the Small and Medium categories. Many more organizations participate in these categories than in the Mid Large and Large categories, so the chances of making the list were getting smaller and smaller.

To make this fairer, we have increased the number of spots in Small and Medium from 10 to 15. This way we give more organizations the recognition they deserve and we are better able to match the growth in the number of participating organizations. We want to continue to do justice to all organizations that are Great Place To Work.

I have another question

By participating in events, workshops, inspiration sessions or other activities at a physical location, you automatically grant permission for video recordings and photographs to be made. These recordings may be distributed by us to partners and suppliers, and used for our own purposes, including publication on our channels.
